Privacy

Manually created drafts and their images stay in your browser until you choose Publish. If you choose AI generation, the topic and generated preview are processed on our server before publication.

Optional AI category drafts

When you click Generate draft, we send your topic to Google's Gemini API and generated image-search terms to Wikimedia Commons. Do not include private or sensitive information. These providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies. Gemini suggests text; we retrieve existing images, not AI-generated illustrations. Review the suggestions and image matches before publishing.

AI previews and their temporary images expire after 24 hours and are scheduled for deletion within 15 minutes afterward. Your topic is cleared when item selection finishes or generation fails. An essential, HTTP-only browser cookie and keyed network fingerprint enforce abuse limits; they are not used for analytics. We retain daily budget counters for 7 days. Prompts, item names, and image-search terms are not sent to Umami. After you import a preview, its local copy remains in your browser until you remove it.

What we store

Published tier-list content, sanitized image derivatives, anonymous management credentials, community quick votes, abuse reports, and limited operational logs. Raw uploads are temporary and are deleted after processing. Quick votes use an essential, encrypted HTTP-only browser cookie so one browser can keep or change one vote per item; the cookie lasts up to one year and is not used for analytics or cross-site tracking.

Analytics

We use a self-hosted Umami service to collect privacy-scrubbed pageviews and a small allow-listed set of anonymous product events about creation, AI generation, publishing, sharing, and reliability. Page paths are normalized, and titles, referrers, query strings, URL fragments, list titles, labels, images, public IDs, free-form text, and management links are not sent. Analytics does not use cookies, session replay, advertising profiles, or cross-site tracking, and we honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track.

Retention and control

Unattached uploads are removed after 24 hours. Failed or unfinished publications and their uploads are removed after 7 days. A published list remains until its private editor deletes it or it is removed after a valid report. Anonymous analytics retention is configured at the analytics provider.
